My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet girl needs you!

August Update:

Boy oh boy, a lot has happened since my last update but it is all good news! My mange is healing and my fur is growing longer and thicker every day! I go in for a skin scraping to make sure I am free of mites soon. After that, I need my vaccinations and to be spayed THEN I will be ready for my second chance at love!

I have become quite used to indoor living. I used to be locked in a crate all day and night so it took me awhile to get used to all the rooms in a house and humans and dogs wanting to play with me! I have got it figured out now and I love to play with my foster siblings! I never had dogs to play with me so I am loving all the attention! My human friends are still my favorite. I love to give kisses and roll around for a belly rub!

My foster parents are still trying to work on a potty schedule and teaching me about going outside. You see, I lived in my own waste with my previous owners and even had burns on my feet from the urine! Going from that situation to living inside has been tough so I am in potty training 101! I am doing really well with it but will occasionally have an accident in the house and sometimes in my crate as well. As I adjust more to indoor living, I will get better at it!!

I absolutely love dogs, cats, kids, toys, adult humans, dog beds, ¦everything! I adjust to everything and just want to be included in my new family'€™s life. If you have room in your home for a sweet girl like me, fill out an application at www.foreverfriendsgdri.com today!

Original Story:

My name is Daisy and I am a 3 year old merle Great Dane. I have had a rough life here lately. The shelter I was in made an urgent call to Forever Friends because I was on the list to get euthanized due to my intense medical plan. One of the girls at the shelter asked for a day to try and find a rescue to take me. You see, I have mange that is covering 90% of my body right now. Forever Friends saved my life and now I get to enjoy my foster home while I heal. The good news is, my mange is not contagious and it is already starting to heal! I am getting all my pretty fur back, slowly but surely! As if that wasn't enough, I now have a respiratory infection that I am battling. I am going to be in my foster home for quite a few months but I promise to update you as I feel better.

Keep your eye out for me because I am a sweetheart looking for a second chance at love.

Sending you love,

Daisy
