Cleo's Story...
Cleo is a petite and gorgeous buff tabby who was surrendered to CSA when her owners decided to move and couldn't take her with them. She is only 2yrs young, and has spent one of those years in our shelter, so we'd love to see her get adopted to a wonderful forever home before another year passes! Upon arrival, she was very timid and did not like to be handled much. Over time, she has really come around, and on her good days she'll even allow people to hold her and lather her in attention. However, she does have her moments where she's had enough attention or just wants to be left alone, and will let you know with a swat that she want's her alone time. Cleo does not like having other dogs or cats in her space, so would be best as an only pet or in a home where she will be slowly integrated in to the mix and can have her own space. Once she gets used to the other animal she tends to ignore them, but she can be a bit bossy when they get to close! Cleo does have her sweet moments though, and is also very playful and curios, as you can see in the picture of her checking out some bubbles! If you don't mind a cat with a sassy streak, come on down and meet Cleo!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cleo, a Broadway Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Broadway, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Broadway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Broadway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Broadway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Broadway paves the way for another one to be saved.
