DOB June 13, 2004. Hi there! My name is Friskie and I will melt your heart, I promise! I was rescued back in 2009 from an overcrowding situation. I lived with my mom and my siblings, as well as my own kittens and another batch of kittens that my mom had recently had. We were all rescued and put into good homes, however I was recently returned to TCR because my mom was developing bad allergies to me.
I am an older girl that will fill your home with calm energy. I am a bit "friskie" and playful as my name suggests, but I am much more of a golden girl now who'd rather spend my time on your lap. I must be adopted into a home without other cats as I do really well on my own. I love staring out windows watching the world go by. I have the funniest chirpy meow and love to stick my bum up in the air while getting a good chin scratch.
I recently had my teeth cleaned and was treated for a urinary tract infection. I am feeling much better now! As you might notice from my photos, I am quite overweight. My foster mom is working on getting me to loose weight in a safe and healthy way, as that will prevent health issues down the road. I will need to be adopted by someone who can continue to portion feed me a veterinary-prescribed diet that also helps prevent future urinary tract infections. It'd be great if you could keep up with my routine! I have been tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia and am negative for both. I have also been vaccinated against both viruses by my previous family. Please give me the forever home I so deserve! I promise not to disappoint you!
