My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI, I'm Lucy. They estimate that I am 8 y/o puppy mill survivor. I have been spayed, vet checked and updated on all vaccines. I weigh 7.7 lbs. I will be having a hernia repair on December 12th and need alittle time to recuperate. I started to have seizures so I'm taking meds for that now My FM says that I am so lovable and act like a youngster sometimes, but I love sleeping next to her. My friend Ethel is also here and I love her but my FM thinks I would be fine if I am adopted by someone who will love me and keep me safe. My new family will need to make sure that when you open the door to go outside that I don't sneak by. I'd love to have a backyard to keep up on my potty training. I do use potty pads but sometimes tinkle on the floor. I really don't mean to but when I was kept in cages, no one taught me where to potty. My FM says I'm doing better all the time! Will someone out there please love me and I PROMISE that I will love you back!

Ethel is healthy (7.9 lbs) and will be going to an eye specialist for the cataract in her left eye on Dec 2nd to see if she is a candidate for surgery. Ethel is not blind! She just needs to be given a chance to repair before blindness in that eye sets in. Lucy is healthy (7.7 lbs) but has a hernia that will be repaired soon since it possibly involves her intestines. Lucy also has seizures She has been started on Phenobarbital today. In one month she will have blood tests to check the medication level. She had 3 seizures just today, one when my other dogs started barking in response that woke me up this morning, one two hours before we went to the vet and one on the way home from the vet's. She is such a sweet girl and will be fine once her med level builds and she will just need maintaining the level. Ethel is a sweetie and, like Lucy, just wants to be loved and FED!! They will be available for adoption once their medical needs have been resolved.
