Francis's Story...
Hello! My name is Francis. & I'm a big girl that likes to hang out with people. Despite my size, I'm quiet on my paws. Sometimes I sneak right past volunteers when I'm making my rounds to favorite napping spots at the shelter! I'm very mellow. I love to lounge in sunspots, soaking in the warm rays. &I love when volunteers give me cheek and head scratches. To show my affection, I give them lots of headbutts and kisses. If you're looking for a kitty that has lots of love to give and is calm, make an appointment to meet me!
Francis is current on her vaccinations, spayed, parasite-free, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. If you are interested in meeting me I am located at the Petsmart located at 155 East Route 59 in Nanuet, NY. Adoption hours are on Saturday 12 pm - 4 pm and Sunday 12 am to 4 pm. Please e-mail startkayne@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Francis, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
