Tinker's Story...
Hi! My name is Tinker and lemme tell ya - I'm just as cute and sweet as can be! Look at my playful picture, and tell me you don't agree? :)

I am a 1 year old and 12lb (full grown) Sheltie Terrier mix with a happy disposition. I LOVE to play with dogs and toys, get little scratches behind my ear, and of course the full body massage you humans call "petting".

Both my foster homes, the one in California and the one here in Edmonton, just adore me. I think I was named "Tinker" after the Disney Fairy, and my innate ability to magically make everybody love me and say "awwww".

My adoption fees are $280, which covers everything! That means I am spayed, current on all vaccines (rabies, DHPP), microchipped, treated for possible worms (ick lovely princess-girls don't get worms, do they?), heart worm tested, checked by a vet, and although Fairies can fly...my airfare to Edmonton.

So if I sound like the little charmer you're looking for, please contact the humans at CaliCan Rescue by emailing calicanrescue@gmail.com and ask to start an application today!

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
