HAPPY JACK's Story...
Fenced Yard is a must. $100 adoption fee, email rgparker@samford.edu. Happy Jack is a 35 lb Labrador mix who is quite playful and ALWAYS happy. He knows commands: sit, stay, shake, fetch and return ball. He is 9 months old and would make a wonderful pet for an active family. He is very good with other dogs and loves to play with kids. Cats confuse him; he's not sure what to do when he sees one (he's living with one now). He can run like the wind and loves to wrestle and race other dogs. Not as good as he should be on a leash, but that's something we're working on and he is SMART, so he'll catch on. Perfect family dog as long as he gets lots of exercise. You don't see many dogs as talented as this fellow! FULLY VETTED.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HAPPY JACK, a Alabaster Labrador Retriever/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Dachshund for sale in Alabaster, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Alabaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alabaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alabaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Dachshund breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alabaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
