EMMET's Story...
EMMET is a shepherd/lab mix pup found in a remote rural area. We estimate his date of birth to be early August 2013. He has been de-wormed, is fully-vaccinated and neutered. As of 11/29/13 he weighs 13 lb. He will mature to a medium size, probably not more than about 40 lb. Emmet is a sweet, happy, friendly little bundle of energy. Once he wears himself out playing, he'll curl up and fall asleep in your lap (after chewing on your hand for a few minutes). He is crate-trained for nighttime sleeping, has a good start on house-training, knows how to use the doggie door, and is learning to walk on-leash. You can't help but smile when you're with Emmet. He is smart and sooo funny when he barks fiercely at the deer passing through the woods. He enjoys the company of other dogs and doesn't chase the cats, although he covets their catfood. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

EMMET, a Glastonbury Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
