Tillie's Story...
location: Floyds Knobs, IN
I am a very pretty girl who is mostly white with a black and tan head and a big black spot by my tail. I recently came to my Indiana foster home from a shelter in Owensboro, KY. My favorite thing is exploring the yard for varmints. I can really make the chipmunks and squirrels run for their lives. I love going for walks on the farm, and I have excellent recall; I come right back as soon as my fostermom calls. I also like going to pet events, where I let everyone hold and hug me. I weigh about 11 pounds, and I'm around 3 years old. I would love a home with a large yard to play in. Check out my album for more pictures of me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tillie, a Carmel Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Carmel, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Carmel.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carmel already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carmel breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carmel paves the way for another one to be saved.
