Dexter's Story...
This gray cat is approximately 3-years old. We will be getting new pictures Dec, 2nd - he has green eyes and resembles a Russian Blue. He was a pet, and somehow wound up living behind a restaurant in Olmsted Falls. He showed up in the Spring of 2013. Dexter was sick from being out in the cold and irregular access to food and water. However, we treated him with antibiotics and he's a new cat, well fed & healthy! This was painful for him so we are happy to see him being happier. He is very lovable. He loves to be pet. He is still shy as far as going to people on his own, but if you go to him, he'll have ya! In time, with trust, and the right owner, he will overcome that. Contact Brandi at adoptions@olmstedfallscatrescue.com or (855) 32 SAVVY to arrange a time to meet Dexter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Olmsted Falls Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Olmsted Falls, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Olmsted Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olmsted Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olmsted Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olmsted Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
