My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, My name is Scooter Boy and I am an eight year old Schnauzer who weighs about 28lbs.

I have had a pretty great life up to a few months ago when my owner became ill. I stayed hopeful for him to return, but that time never came. The kids stopped in to feed me and let me out every day, but I spent some lonely days looking out that window.

One day the kids stopped in and actually took me for a ride, I was super excited…..I just knew I was going to see my owner at the place they called the Nursing Home. Well…..I never saw him again. I was dropped off at a very noisy, scary shelter. I became so depressed that I stopped eating, I had given up. The shelter staff saw this and phoned SRC to see if they could help me out.

Now as you can see, I have some bounce back in my step :) I came in to SRC and was immediately taken to the vet for treatment of an eye infection, caught up on all my shots, and had my teeth cleaned.

If that wasn’t enough, I was whisked off to a nice foster home. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! My foster home is great! I am now living with my 4 foster brothers and 2 cats.

The best thing at my foster home is my foster dad! I’m not sure what all the others see in my foster mom, but I’m glad they see it. I get my foster dad all to my self. Where he goes, I go……. I love spending my time with him, chewing my bones while the games on, or just following him around the yard to see what he might need me to help with.

Things are certainly looking up for me lately. Hopefully I can continue to have this good luck and find a furever home, with a new family all my own. I’m a very quiet boy, housebroken, and neutered. If you think you are the family for me please fill out an application for me….Scooter Boy
