Timmy is a good boy! He is small, about 7 pounds, although it's hard to tell in his photos. Timmy has been through a lot in the past couple of weeks but still trusts people and loves their company. He seems to be good with other animals too. He hadn't seen a vet in years before his rescue and got a clean bill of health but lost almost all of his teeth during his dental because they were so rotted. The Humane Society is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We offer FREE Vet care for the first 3 weeks after adoption. We also have a great adoption matchmaker who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. Please feel free to submit your application!

Each and every animal here is very special to us. We are dedicated to finding each one just the right home. So for some cats and dogs, that means a much longer stay - as sometimes they are not as outgoing, pretty or have as perfect manners as they could. And because we don't "dispose" of them for this, our cost for keeping them healthy and becoming better companions is high.

306 East 59th Street (between 1st & 2nd Avenue) in Manhattan.
Our adoption hours are 7 days a week, 10:30AM - 4:00PM.
