NOTE: Kishi's breed, German Spitz, was not listed as one of the options.
If you are a senior who enjoys walking and are looking for a compatible companion, Kishi the German Spitz could be a great match. Senior dogs are often overlooked but in fact, they make the most appropriate dogs for mature individuals who would like to enrich their lives with the company of a canine. Kishi came from a home where there was no time for him anymore. Sadly, he was often relegated to the garage with another dog who is now also with Kiko. Despite his 10 years, this 15-pounder still gets excited when he sees the leash getting picked up; perhaps he remembers regular walks from when his family used to care about him and make time for him. In addition to walks, Kishi also enjoys spending time exploring in the backyard. He adapted quickly to his foster family, likely relishing having someone home all day as well as the other dog there. This very clever pooch understands hand signals, for his hearing is somewhat impaired, but is otherwise in great health. If you would like to learn more about Kishi and have a chat with his foster family, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website and we will contact you if we think he could be a good match.
