Annie Oakley is a delightful, playful and extremely loveable young Beagle/Hound mix puppy who was born around 5/21/13 and weighs around 40 lbs. We don't believe she will get much bigger and is just a wonderful soul of a dog. The beginning of her life is a very sad tale. She was probably 6 weeks old when a young man found Ann in a box beside the road and with her was a live sibling and a dead sibling. Who knows the horrors that these young pups went through to end up on the side of a country road in a box. How many times do we have to tell stories like this. It breaks our hearts. This kind young man kept the two siblings for several weeks. He finally surrendered Ann to our rescue and he kept the brother. Annie has grown in to a beauty with a striking red and white coat of soft short hair. When she looks at you with those soulful eyes and perfect eyeliner they just seem to say so much. She seems to speak to you through her peaceful spirit and pleading soul. This girl just loves to be around children. She also loves to take long walks with her foster mom, so she is good on leash.
