Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Starbuck is a very handsome Chocolate Lab that at the age of 8, does not act like a typical senior. He is active, in great health and would be happiest with an active family with fenced in yard. His sad story goes like this, Starbuck’s owner was a doctor who worked many long hours and when his family continually refused to walk Starbuck or help with his care, the doctor finally threw up his hands and took him to a kill shelter in TN. Outrageous as this seems, he would not put in a fenced yard for Starbuck to help with the reluctant family’s house training and duties. So this boy landed in rescue. He is currently in a New England foster home and desperate to find that forever sweet and accepting home. Starbuck likes to go for walks and he walks like a gentleman on a leash. He weighs 88 pounds so he is an extra large dog, is housetrained and does well with all the dogs he has met thus far, regardless of their size or gender. We are not sure how he does with cats. He can have a high level of anxiety in stressful situations and for that reason, we would recommend he not go to a home with small children. We think he would do just fine with other children and would love to have someone willing to play fetch with him. He loves car rides and riding with his head out the window, ears blowing in the breeze. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
