Gingerbread Girl's Story...
This precious little girl, we will call Ginger is in desperate need of a good home. She is still in the shelter; but they cannot keep her indefinitley and all the foster homes in this rescue are full. The shelter staff is pleading for someone to help her. See link below and that will tell her sad story. The emaciated dog in the picture is her sister. http://lwpolive.heraldchronicle.com/Repository/ml.asp?Ref=TFdDLzIwMTMvMDgvMTYjQXIwMDEwNA==&Mode=Gif&Locale=english-skin-custom
In spite of this awful beginning she is so very sweet and loves people and will soak up all the attention you will give her. Ginger is about 2 yrs old and about 25 lbs. With her short coat, she will be easy to maintain and as she is very smart, will be easy to train simple basics such as "sit" etc. This girl has so much love and devotion to share with a loving family; won't you please give her a chance? For more info and to fill out an application , please contact lorainecm@comcast.net Thanks for your interest in a rescue dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gingerbread Girl, a Washington Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Washington, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
