Once you’re “in” with Herbie, be prepared for flasher activity. The guy loves having his belly rubbed, and when you head his way, he’ll roll onto his back to make way for your hand. Herbie is so sweet, you’d never guess he was rescued as a six-month old feral whose eyes darted side to side when you got near him. Now he comes to check out the handyman or stranger who comes to the apartment. There are many extraordinary things Herbie can do. Since he was a kitten, has stood on his hind legs with his front paws up like a prairie dog. If only he could clap for himself, because if there were cat Olympics, he’d be medaling in the fishing pole game. After an exhausting round with the fishing pole, you might find him cuddling up with his sister, Gidget . Herbie deserves more love and attention than I can give him, and he’d be happier elsewhere, with or without his sister. He gets along with other cats, but would need a slow introduction.
