My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

PLEASE CLICK ON "READ MORE ABOUT THIS PET" FOR COMPLETE INFORMATION!

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.

Randy is a GORGEOUS 3 year old, 65 pound bluetick coonhound who was rescued from a shelter. He is a calm, well socialized dog who likes everyone he meets. He loves to go for walks and play, but mostly likes hanging out with his foster home people. He is very affectionate but not in a needy way. He enjoys running around in the fenced yard with the other dogs and will need a fenced yard in his new home. Randy loves to snuggle right in and get petted. His howl is low pitched and he is fairly quiet for a hound. Ramdy is with a 501c3 rescue. His adoption fee is $300.00. Randy is neutered, heartworm tested and on prevention, is up to date on shots for parvo, distemper and rabies, has been wormed and he has a HomeAgain microchip. If you like large dogs this is your new best friend!

To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.

• Homeowners: REQUIRED

• Status of adopter: 30+
