Jerome's Story...
jerome is the most precious little dachshund mix, he is approx 1 yr old and 10 lbs, he was just a stray picked up by our local animal control, he has a beautiful glossy coat and is quiet and well behaved, loves to sleep on the bed at night, is a little jealous when he has your lap and other dogs want to get attention as well, but gets along well with all sizes and loves to play, he has been treated for heart worms and is on heart guard monthly a monthly preventative, he seems to be pretty well house and leash trained and is just a wonderful little dog

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerome, a Norwalk Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
