O'Linda's Story...
My name is O’Linda. I am a 1 1/2 year old Husky mix. I was born in June of 2006. I have the prettiest freckles on my nose. My sister Oprah and I were turned into animal control because our previous owners were moving and didn’t want us anymore. I do not have to be placed with my sister, although she is up for adoption also. I am very good with other dogs. My coat is not as thick as a purebred Husky’s would be, so it will not need to be brushed as often. I am good with children. I was housetrained when I first came to the BCFFA, but because I have been kenneled for so long, I will need to be retrained in my new home. Please email teddirescue@yahoo.com for an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

O'Linda, a Manassas Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Manassas, or seeking a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Manassas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manassas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manassas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manassas paves the way for another one to be saved.
