Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Skeeter is a very handsome almost-3-year-old yellow lab-shepherd mix. He is just starting to come out of his shell a bit and asking for more attention from people. Poor Skeeter wasn’t sure at first what to expect from humans – he doesn’t seem to ever have been mistreated, he is just a bit timid and needs some TLC.
Skeeter can be a bit nervous at first around other dogs but is not at all aggressive – just shy. Skeeter was evaluated by a trainer who took him to a busy Home Depot and discovered that did just fine with all the distractions and with the other dogs he had with him (a big German shepherd and a little terrier mix).
He is wonderful around children and could use some kids in his life to make him one happy fellow!
He does need a little more practice on the leash but he is very smart and trainable – he catches on quickly! He definitely enjoys the walks he gets.
Skeeter is fine in the car and loves being around people. He is up to date on his shots, neutered and micro chipped.
Skeeter will make a wonderful companion. He is calm, beautiful, loving and needs a stable home.
