My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello friends! My name is Higgins, and my foster family said I'm awesome. They love me. And I love them. But I really need my own family, to stay with forever. The vet said I am about two years old, currently almost 17lbs (I was a bit hungry before, but I'm almost back to normal weight now) and I don't have any worms, fleas or other nasty things like that. I'm also leash trained and house trained, and I'll go in a crate for a while if you need me to, but I do prefer to be with my people.

I've been very, very good at my foster home, I have followed instructions and learned to sit, I am not mean or aggressive ever at all, I have good manners with everyone and I'm not afraid of anything that anybody knows about so far.

I love car rides and visits to new places with new people, and I love couches and beds and pillows and blankets and duvets. At bedtime, I know it's bedtime, and I have figured out how to snuggle under the duvet and stay nice and warm.

I love walks and doggy friends (big or small, I'm excited to play with them all) and I love chewing bones. Best of all I am totally a huge, enormous fan of children. I love them. They're my favourite friends and I snuggle them a lot. Even really little ones who fall down a lot... I like to go and sniff them to help them get back on their feet. They share the couch with me, and that's when I'm happiest. I really am a perfect little snuggle buddy and if my foster parents could keep me, I know they would. But they can't, so maybe you could instead?

Higgins is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and will be microchipped before adoption. To learn more about Higgins, call his foster mom, Sally, at 484-553-1358. To adopt Higgins, go to bostonrescueofsc.com and fill out the adoption application. Higgins' adoption fee is $300.
