Have you been missing a little something in your life; maybe that special little buddle of fluff, sitting close by your side, as she looks up at you with a face that melts you heart? If so, meet Poppy. One look at her face and you’ll know you’ve found the perfect companion. Poppy is a very affectionate little girl, with a heart as big as they come. At 16 months old, Poppy is perfectly proportioned for her 15 pounds, with beautiful confirmation.
Poppy was turned in by her previous owner; a working mom with a three year old, after realizing that the three year old was too immature to interact well with a dog. Poppy has a loving temperament and thrives on attention. She is extremely intuitive and will surprise you with some of her antics. She follows commands well and would excel in puppy obedience training. You’ll have to ask her when she has to go potty; Poppy still doesn’t initiate the call, but she does well if kept on a regular schedule. She currently sleeps in her own bed at night and sleeps through the night.
Poppy would be very happy in a home with another dog, but would do nicely as an only dog. Poppy would prefer a home with someone home most of the day; in a home without small children. Her foster mom would like her to live in the Twin Cities area so she can visit her once in awhile. She would also like Poppy and her new family to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion which is held each year on the third weekend in June. Poppy is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, is micro chipped and spayed. Poppy’s adoption fee is $370.00 plus sales tax of $26.92, a total of $396.92
