If your idea of the perfect dog is a big lap dog, meet Jonathan! At some point he must have been someone's dog because he rides well in a car, he walks well on a leash and he thinks the best seat in the house is whichever one you're sitting in (and if there's no seat, your lap will do!!) Jonathan is an affectionate, playful boy who LOVES people and gets along great with other dogs. He was saved in his last few hours at a high-kill city pound: the shelter director hated the thought of putting him down because he is such a good boy. Instead, they found a kind foster to take him and now he is waiting for a lucky family to take him home. He's got the even-temperament of a Golden and the great family dog characteristics of a Lab -- the very best of both breeds. But at only about 45 pounds, he's more like a mini version of them. He's just one of those dogs that will walk right into your home and heart as if he has been with you forever. Jonathan is about a year old year old and is a healthy boy.
