I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
This is Bella, aptly named, as she is a most striking looking young purebred border collie. She has a short bobbed tail, but is definitely a b.c. and not an Australian Shepherd. She is very young, barely more than a puppy, and our vet estimates that she is about a year old. She has been vaccinated, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. She appears
to have been spayed before she was brought into rescue and our vet is certain that that is the case.
Bella is a very affectionate young dog who wants badly to be your friend and is fine with other dogs. She has a great deal of puppy playfulness about her, and loves to play with the 4 month old puppy in her foster home. She is not destructive and sleeps quietly in her pen at night.
She is very athletic and jumps up and down as if she was on springs, and we are working on stopping her for jumping up at people and grabbing their hands. This is not at all aggressive behavior, but rather puppy bad manners that have never been corrected.
She would do best in a border collie savvy home and is not suited for a family with young children. She needs to have plenty of activity, such as running with her new owner, agility, flyball, frisbee (she is just learning to play with balls and toys) and with a family who is prepared to continue with her socialization and training. Bella has a lot of potential and would love to have another dog as a companion.
