Long legged, handsome, energetic playmate for another dog or canine buddy for a person. I'm best friends with Samantha, the Rhodesian ridgeback mix. We play tug-o-war and chase and cover lots of ground running. A large, walled yard would be ideal, but if you really want to adopt me and have a way for me to safely exercise, I hope you'll apply to adopt me. Thanks! Harlan P.S. Samantha has been adopted, but I play really well with most girl dogs and some boys. I'm lots of fun and very affectionate. My current weight is 105 lbs; I'm very fit. I go swimming at the lake about once a week and enjoy fetching my big bird plush toy out of the lake. Please, adopt me before it gets cold this winter! Otherwise I'll be shivering in my dog house. A.R.T.A. -- Animal Rescue, Transport, and Adoption -- is a small, rural foster home based rescue that cares for and places kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs into new homes -- usually, in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. Most of our adoptable animals have been relinquished by previous owners who could not care for them due to unforeseen circumstances or life changes. The adoptable animals may be visited by appointment or be seen in Tucson area. for weekend adoption events.
A.R.T.A. adopts mostly to homes in Tucson and Phoenix areas. Other locations may be considered.

Please, email about your ideal cat or dog you'd like to adopt and a little about home you are offering. Adoption fee is usually just the cost that vet charges for spay, neuter, and shots.
