You wouldn't think that a girl like me with such exquisite calico colors, gorgeous eyes, and soft as a bunny fur would have insecurity issues, but considering my life prior to my rescue it would be more surprising if I didn't. Alas, the beautiful have problems too. During the course of my 1 ½ year life I have had a litter of kittens, but I was starving and so malnourished (weighing just 4 pounds) that none of them survived. I found myself at a rural pound where the people were kind to me, but still I was in a cold steel cage all alone with constant fear that the next day would bring something they called euthanasia to me. But CARE came for me and I have been living with my foster mom Janet, where she has been teaching me to trust and have faith that the world is a good place after all. While I remain very shy at this point, I am never mean or aggressive and she says it is very easy to clip my nails and give me medicine when I need it. When she first places me in her lap I tense, but with some gentle petting and soft words I relax and settle in for some loving. I get along fine with other cats and don't have any issues with dogs as long as they are cat friendly. I play too, the Turbo Scratcher with the ball that goes around and around being one of my favorite toys. I will need some time to adjust to a new home, and someone willing to invest some time and patience to reap the rewards that will come when I bond with them and realize that I am HOME.
