Daisy Sue's Story...
This pretty girl with the lovely tabby markings and the big soulful eyes is named Daisy Sue. Daisy Sue is a very sweet kitty who tends to be a little shy and yet loves to be held and clearly wants affection. Daisy Sue was previously adopted and brought into a busy household with other dogs and cats. Apparently it was just all too overwhelming for this timid girl. The other animals scared her and she just couldn't adjust. As a result she sprayed to try to mark some safe territory for herself. Naturally her owners were unhappy with this and Daisy Sue was returned to us. UPDATE!!! Daisy Sue went into foster care to relieve the stress from the shelter. This is what her foster mom has to say about her: She has used the litterbox each and every time. Even when she is in the other part of the house she will come back into the office to use the box and then return to what she was doing. She has no litterbox issues at all since arriving here. She is a sweet girl that needs her own litterbox and own humans to love. She would be best in an only cat setting. Please open your heart and give this sweet shy girl a second chance to show what a great kitty she can be. She's waiting for you to come take her home and love her. We offer a 20% discount on adult cat adoptions for senior adopters (62 and older). KC/KC 03/10/07 Contact: Cat Adoption Team Website: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/OR07.html Email:

About Our Shelter...
The Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest non-profit, no-kill cat shelter with its own full service on-site veterinary hospital. CAT rescues, rehabilitates and places the community’s abandoned, neglected and injured cats and kittens into loving, lifetime homes. CAT not only partners with the community but with local county shelters, rescue groups and veterinary offices to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized due to medical problems or space constraints. CAT saves close to 3,000 lives per year and relies heavily on the support of the public and generous volunteers. Thank you for visiting our site and helping us save lives!

1 Adult Cat $85
1 Senior Cat (over 8 years) $60
1 FIV/FELV Cat $60
The adoption fee includes:

Testing for FELV and FIV
Microchip (including registration)
FVRCP and Leukemia vaccinations
Treatment for parasites (fleas, worms)

The Cat Adoption Team requires all potential adoptive families to meet with a trained adoption counselor before adopting a cat. Families must complete an application and sign a contract, which outlines our organization's adoption guidelines. Individuals who are interested in adopting a cat or kitten are welcome to call our facility to discuss these guidelines before visiting our adoption center.

In order to give our kittens a strong, healthy start in life, and to minimize behavior problems by assuring that they are fully weaned and litter box trained, we do not adopt out any kitten until they are at least 8-10 weeks old.

Cats or kittens that test positive for leukemia or FIV can still live relatively long and healthy lives in an indoor, stress-free environment. They must, however, be adopted to homes that either have no other cats or already have asymptomatic leukemia- or FIV-positive cats. These diseases cannot be passed on to humans; they can, however, be transmitted through blood to healthy cats. Therefore, these cats must be placed in indoor-only home.
