This large, powerful boy is a gorgeous "real" Akita so was named Thor for the Greek God he acts like! Thor has a calm, confident demeanor and is the perfect housedog for an adult household who understands this breed. This approx. 5-6 year old was found as a stray in NY so we have no history on Thor other than knowing he needs to be given time to adjust to trust his new home but once he trusts you a more devoted loving Akita you won't find. Thor cannot go to a household with children or other pets, but would be the perfect boy for a couple or single person who wants the intelligence & confidence this breed is known for. We are here to offer adoptions, health education, temperament information and training guidelines for your Akita. If you own an Akita already, then the more help we can offer, the less chance your Akita will end up in rescue. ARWNY does not want YOUR Akita to end up a statistic!
