Hello, and thank you for reading my Bio. My name is Tango, I guessed to be about 5 years old. No one really knows, because I was picked up as a stray along with my brother Cash. Sadly Cash passed away, he could not withstand the stress at the shelter and the years of neglect took their toll on Cash. I truely miss my brother, he was my shaddow and always followed me around. Luckily I was rescued and I am now in a foster home in Prattville Alabama, with 4 other Rotties and 3 small dogs, which the youngest one, a pup named London is my absolute favorite, I adore her and she thinks I am just the bomb. We play together until we both worn out. Since coming here I have gained alot of weight, I was very skinny, my ribs were showing, my spine and my hips. My coat was dry and coarse and my teeth were all gunky. But I am now the picture of health, I am buffed (85 lbs and gaining), my coat is shiny and my teeth are sprkling white, because of all the raw meaty bones I get to eat here. I was tested heartworm positive, but I am undergoing treatment and it's not too bad, my foster mommy calls it the slow kill treatment. It doesn't make me sick , nor can I die from it, just takes a little longer and no recovery time. I have a very laid back personality and I like to just hang out, unless I am busy playing with the others. I am not distructive and I have learned to be house broken and crate trained. My neuter date was the 12th of August, I had to get over an upper respitory infection and kennel cough. I am ready to go to my forever home, but until that is found, I hang out here and wait. My foster mom doesn't mind, she says I give the best kisses and I am a good, sweet boy. That's my job. How about filling out an application to adopt me? Go to www.adoptarott.net or ask my foster mommy for additional info @ Tootsie1990@yahoo.com. I am in foster care in Prattville AL. Hope to meet you soon.
Adoptaortt is a group of independent rescuers who have banded together with a single purpose. To rescue and rehabilitate Rottweilers. We have members in many states other than our generalized coverage area. We will adopt a dog to just about anywhere if the adopter meets our criteria and is willing to pay transport fees. We will generally transport, free of charge within 600 miles by ground. Outside of that area, adopters will need to make flight arrangements.
All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We do not adopt out "Yard dogs" or "logging chain decorations." All dogs must be kept as indoor pets and family members.
We do not have a brick and mortar shelter. All of our dogs live with foster families in homes. While in foster care their health needs are addressed and they are housetrained, crate trained and taught basic commands.
Our adoption fee is $200 for Rottweilers and $125 for Rottweiler mixes.
Our adoption application can be found at www.adoptarott.net
We ask for three personal references, a veterinary reference and the last step is a homevisit to see where your new pet will live. We typically require a fence but do make exceptions on a case by case basis.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
All of Alabama, north Florida, and Southwest Georgia. We will intake and adopt animals in other states on a case by case basis.
