Alex is about six years old. He is a big, fat, lazy orange Tabby with beautiful green eyes. He reminds us of Garfield, so that is his nickname at times. Alex loves people. He loves attention. Alex will meow at us to get us to pet him. When we don't pet him right away, he paws at us as if to say 'Pet me NOW!'
Alex is not really one to run or play. Alex is happiest sitting in the window soaking in the sun's rays while napping, or curled up on a lap being petted. Alex also loves to eat. Whoever adopts him needs to be aware to be careful not to overfeed him, as he does not know when to stop eating.
In July of 2007, Alex was run over by a car. He has been through intensive surgery to repair his abdominal wall, which had totally come unattached from his ribs. The vet was able to cut through the out abdominal wall, to stretch and pull his interior abdominal wall over his bottom rib, and sew it to itself. It has healed up very nicely, and you would never know by looking at him that he had been in such bad shape.
