| Stewart has been in his new foster home for two months and is really being given a chance to come completely into his own personality. He is an absolutely wonderful Weimaraner for the right owner. He is 9 years old, which makes him ideal for an experienced dog owner who wants the “Weim personality” without the Weim high-energy needs. He has daily walks of 30-60 minutes that are more than enough to keep him in a peaceful/calm mindset. He is very strong and healthy, so we feel that he would enjoy even more exercise than what the walks provide. Stewart came to us slightly overweight and flabby, but is now a lean mean machine. Everyone who meets him is amazed by his size, distinct beauty and giant paws. Fortunately, he is very respectful and never jumps! Stewart LOVES to hunt when off leash, so don’t be surprised if he brings back a present for you. While he has made numerous friends, both human and canine, he can be very uncomfortable around people and pets who exhibit particularly high-energy or are tentative and does need to be monitored when initially introduced. You can tell very quickly who he's quick to embrace and who will take time. Forever homes with children or cats are not good options. Stewart is an incredible happy, kind, easy-going, easily satisfied, healthy, beautiful Weim. He LOVES car rides – he prefers to be on the road with you all day versus at home, but if he is left at home, he won’t hold it against you and can be trusted with full rein of the house. If you are looking for a dog to be a close companion without the super-duper high octane energy of a younger Weim, Stewart will exceed your expectations!! Sincerely, STEWART |
