Update 2/9/09: Yes, we are still looking for Peanuts! We recently received a lead that Peanuts was picked up by a young woman and brought to the Petsmart on NW 63rd and May in May of 2008. She was going there to get something for fleas for him. She seemed intent on keeping him as he is just a wonderful little guy! We realize that if Peanuts is still alive that he is probably now with a family who has grown to love him very much as he is an amazing little guy! If that is the case we wouldn't dream of taking him from that home but would just like to know that he is ok and could give you his medical information and give you his history. Peanuts went missing from his backyard on May 5th on NW 46th St between Classen and Western. He is a male (neutered), white Toy Poodle who weighs about 6lbs. He is approximately 8 years old and sways a little in the hind end due to a past injury. He is super friendly so should come when called. He has a collar with his Rabies tag from the OKC Animal Welfare as well as a yellow Home Again microchip tag. He is microchipped so if his collar has come off he still has identification. Peanuts was new to the home as he had just been adopted the day before so will likely not know his way back home. He was in the yard on a potty break with his two new siblings who are also small dogs but somehow he managed to get out. His new mom still can't find where he could have gotten out, is absolutely distraught and has been searching the neighborhoods and streets since

Update: 5/7/08: Peanuts was last seen at 5pm on 5/5 on Britton Road b/t Western and Classen.
Peanuts is the sweetest little poodle you will ever meet! He was rescued from the OKC Shelter. He was surrendered there after his owner died. The family neglected and abused him before surrendering him which left his back end with a little more sway than usual when he walks. However, this doesn't bother him or slow him down a bit! Peanuts is about 8 years old, weighs about 6 lbs, does well with other animals and is housebroken!!
All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for heartworms/ehrlichia/lymes, placed on heartworm preventative, wormed and microchipped prior to adoption. Our adoption fee is $70. All microchips are currently registered to Safe Haven. If you would like to have the chip registered to you once you adopt your pet then there is a one time $15 registration fee.
