Sweet, sweet Sadie. Such a special girl! Sadie came to the rescue months ago with a litter of 9 puppies. All of the puppies were adopted, but Sadie remained. She has easily become one of the favorites of the rescue. Such a happy girl! And that may be one of the reasons she has been overlooked. She sits quietly, waiting to be petted. She doesn't bark, demanding your attention. She waits patiently for her turn at a treat. Sadie has been in a foster home for the last month. She dug out to investigate the critters in the pasture. This 50 pound girl was no competition for the feral hogs. It was a miracle the director of the rescue found her in the middle of the night, covered in blood. It was a miracle Sadie survived a 6 degree drop in her body temperature. And it was a miracle that the talented emergency vet was able to bring Sadie back when she crashed on the operating table. But the biggest miracle is the fact that this girl has accepted everything that has been thrown at her. Stitches, e-collars, hydro-therapy, medication twice a day, dressing changes, wound cleaning, topical ointments, and more injuries than you could count. Sadie seemed to know that we were helping her and has been waiting patiently to get well. And through it all her tail has continued to wag. Sadie has flourished in the foster home. She is completely house broken. She is crate trained. Great manners! No digging or fence running. Micro-chipped. Spayed. Heart worm negative. Up to date on shots. Sadie does have 2 faults... she wants to chase those small furry creatures and she snores! But she knows basic commands and listens! Not your overly excited dog, just wants to be near you. And is so grateful for everything you do. She deserves a forever home! So... could you be the next miracle in Sadie's life? We check you out pretty good to make sure you deserve this special girl. But the return will be a best friend. A new BFF! Such a great deal for both of you! Our furry friendz are available for adoption through a strict screening process (application, a home visit, 3 referrals, vet referral) to their new “furever” home once they are ready and/or medically healed. The dogs/cats are altered, micro chipped, current on vaccines, and HW or FIV negative before being adopted.
