Tinker is an 8#, 3 year old Chihuahua. He is a typical little spoiled Chihuahua, which is very loving, but thinks he is boss of the other dogs, likes to wash their ears, and plays rough with the bigger dogs, wants to be right there with you - not missing anything - and a real sweet heart. Tinker is young, you will need to be around many years for him, since he could live to be 15-20 years old. Adopt A rescued Pet, Inc. is an all-volunteer non-profit organization designated a 501 (C) (3) by the IRS. AARPI was founded in 2004 by a group of experienced volunteers devoted to saving animals in Citrus County.
Several businesses have allowed us to have adoption events at their sites. On our website we have have a calendar of adoption events. We ask potential adopters to visit the animals at those sites.
Our Adoption Process...
Prospective adopters must complete an adoption form and sign an adoption agreement. Potential adopters are screened to make an appropriate match with a new pet. Information like the number of children and pets in the household is important in determining the best pet for that particular home. A home visit is made before each adoption and another may be scheduled at a later date to ensure all around satisfaction both for the pet and adoptive family.
