| Even though their home wasn't ideal, they were still dearly loved by their ill owner. After the owner passed, Lacey and Chance were placed in a kennel by the executor of the estate. They have been there for 5+ months. The Executor said they'd stop paying the kennel fees as of December 31st of this year. After that, they will be euthanized unless a new home(s) is found. The Executor asked the Nassau County S.P.C.A. for assistance, as no shelter will accept them as they're "too old." Unfortunately the NCSPCA does not have its own shelter or adoption facility in which to keep them. Lacey is a 12-year old non-declawed, spayed female. She is extremely friendly, and very active and playful. Also has two different rare eye colors. PLEASE consider adopting these sweethearts together as they're both old, and it'd obviously not be a long-term commitment. No adoption fee required. |
