Jaxx will likely grow to about 50 pounds. He is neutered and about 8 months old.
If you are looking for a fun and loyal sidekick, Jaxx is your boy! While he is sweet as can be and is quite the lap dog, he is also tough as nails and will need a strong owner to make the most of his potential. Jaxx is housebroken, crate trained, and is pretty well behaved (most of the time) and very willing to please. He is great on leash and is likely to be very reliable off-leash as well - more a trip/fall hazard than a flight risk! This pup was recently neutered, is HW negative, and is on preventative. He will soon be UTD on vaccines. Jaxx is probably ok w/older children, but may be too strong and energetic for smaller ones. He's also good with other dogs that will tolerate his rough play-style. He really likes to go for walks and car rides, and enjoys playing with toys and chews. But most of all he wants to be with you!
If you are interested in adding Jaxx to your family and are ready to handle some puppy mischief, please call or email. Adoption fee and contract apply.

Buckeye Border Collie Rescue, Inc. is committed to helping Border Collies find appropriate, loving and responsible forever homes. We are an all-volunteer group! Please do some research on the breed. Border Collies are not for everyone! There is a wealth of information about the breed on rescue sites. They must have a job to do to challenge their minds and release that energy. They need more than "room to run". Border Collies don't take coffee breaks or go on vacation.
We do not have hours of operation. The BCs are fostered in our homes. Please read the adoption process. Once the application process is complete, an appointment is then made to meet our BCs. This allows us to be sure our BC is the appropriate BC for your forever home! When supplying a phone#, please provide a phone# that can be reached in the evening or on weekends. We are not able to return phone calls during the day.
Our Adoption Process...
Most of the Border Collies come from shelters in Ohio and Kentucky. At any time, there may be the Border Collie just for you and it may not be on the site yet. Please read "OUR ADOPTION PROCESS" and submit your application for consideration. We will not ship Border Collies. OUR ADOPTION PROCESS---PLEASE READ Adopting a dog from us is a PROCESS that takes time. Please begin the process before inquiring about a particular dog. 1. You MUST FIRST fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION. You can get to our website at www.buckeyebcrescue.org 2. A HOME VISIT is then scheduled. 3. There is an adoption contract and a donation required to help cover the cost of rescue. 4. If you have completed the application, it is best to email lassie9@bright.net to communicate rather than call on the telephone. We are volunteers with full-time jobs and normal responsibilities just like you have. In addition, we have the rescue fosters to tend to, vet visits to make and transports necessary to get BCs from shelters and into foster homes. Please be patient as this process may take several days or a week.
