Harley's story...
If you're looking for a gentle, sweet and VERY loving companion, I'm your girl! I'm about 2 years old (6/1/2009) and listen really well.

I'm housetrained and leash trained and know the obedience commands "Sit", "Down", "Stay", "Left Paw" and "Right Paw".

I'm an active girl. Going for long walks and to the dog park are my favorite things to do! When I'm done playing, I can be a couch potato though!

I cannot be left outside in a fenced in yard by myself - I've learned to jump a 5 foot fence. For that reason, an invisible fence is not recommened for me at all even if we're outside together. I am very much a typical hound - driven by both scent and sight. If I see something I want to chase - I'll be off after it in a heartbeat!

I've been spayed, am heartworm negative, am up to date with vaccinations, and am on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are an all volunteer dog rescue organization started in 2002. Our mission is to provide safe refuge for stray, abused, neglected and owner-surrendered dogs. In addition, our organization works to rehabilitate dogs (medically and/or behaviorally) to aid in finding them carefully screened permanent, safe and loving homes where they will live as companion animals. We also educate the community and promote involvement with regard to animal welfare issues.

Come Meet Our Pets...
All of the puppies and dogs in our program are in foster homes - we do not have a central location. We hold adoption events every other Sunday at the Brier Creek PetSmart from 1-3 pm. Our schedule is posted on our website.
Our Adoption Process...
An adoption application is required. Veterinary references will be checked, as well as apartment/townhouse rental references. A home visit may or may not be required. A contract must be completed and an adoption fee paid prior to finalization of an adoption.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Primarily Wake County, North Carolina but also the surrounding counties of Franklin, Chatham, Orange, and Durham.
