Hi, my name is Nana. I am a 2 year-old Shepard mix. I am very sweet and I really want to find a home where the people will love me forever. The woman who had me before decided one day that she didn’t want me any longer and she dropped me off at a very scary place (vet’s office) and left me all alone. I cried and cried for her and would not eat for days, but she did not come back.
My foster mom and dad think that I was neglected. They feed me as much food as I will eat because they say that I was starved. I have a big appetite and I get really excited when it is time to eat. My foster mom and dad also think that I was abused. When I first meet new people and dogs I am very, very shy. I am so shy in fact that I hide in a corner and shake or I sometimes run outside and hide. After a while, when I see that no one wants to hurt me, I come out of my shell though. I have become very attached to my foster mom and I sometimes sit with her on the couch and I like to sleep with her also. I also like my foster dad but I am still shy around him and a little afraid of him. I have really started to warm up to him, it just took some time. I like most other dogs too, but sometimes I get a little nervous when there is a lot of commotion.
My foster mom and dad say that I am special and that I need a forever home that has a lot of patience and understanding. My foster mom and dad also say that I am a very loyal girl and I have a ton of love to give to someone, I have made really good progress in just a few weeks and I am getting to be less and less afraid all the time. Would you love me and give me a second chance and give me the forever home that I deserve?
I am spayed, all shots including rabies and bordetella, wormed for any intestinal parasites, heartworm tested (neg.) and micro chipped. I have been started on a monthly heartworm and flea preventative and my adoption comes with one free vet visit.

We are a non profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted dogs. We take our pets from kill shelters, owners who can longer care for them, and strays. They are completed vetted and then fostered in our homes until the perfect family can be found for them.
We show our adoptable dogs every Saturday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm at the Petco on the corner of N. Dale Mabry Hwy and Fletcher Ave. in Tampa.
Our Adoption Process...
We have an application that is the first step in our adoption process. This application can be downloaded from our website at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org. The adoption fee varies depending on the medical expenses incurred. We also require vet references and potentially a home visit before an adoption is finalized.
