I just want to cuddle! Bashful is exceptionally calm and nice. He is fiv+, and would do nicely in a home with another fiv+ kitty.

About Our Shelter...
We are a not-for profit organization supported solely by donations and modest fees, led by a volunteer board of trustees. We are committed to caring for all animals, and we do not euthanize any adoptable pets. SPCA stands for 'Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals'. The Monmouth County SPCA not only finds homes for stray dogs and cats, but also those family pets that can no longer be cared for by their owners. All of the animals (strays and previously owned pets) placed for adoption receive the same excellent care. The MCSPCA is committed to preventing cruelty to animals, and we see to it that a human being responsible for cruelty to an animal is brought to justice. Our humane education program is sparking the interest of children in the care and welfare of animals.

We also offer a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Each year, 8 million pets are euthanized due to overpopulation. There are too many pets. Don't make more! :)

We also offer dog obedience training, pet bereavement counseling and humane education.

We are open 7 days a week: Saturday-Wednesday from 1PM to 5PM, Thursdays and Fridays from 1PM to 6PM.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We are located in central NJ, near the ocean. From the Garden State Parkway: Get off on Exit 105. Make a right onto Hope Road (the very first right after the toll). Drive down Hope, pass Route 547 (Wyckoff Road), make a left onto Industrial Way. Keep an eye out, it is easy to miss! Drive down to the end of Industrial Way (cross over Route 35). At the end, make a right onto Wall Street. Make the next right and then another quick right into the MCSPCA driveway
Our Adoption Process...
Please come to the shelter to see if the pet for you is waiting there. To adopt, you will talk to an adoption counselor, and will be asked to fill out an adoption application. You can get our adoption application online at http://www.monmouthcountyspca.org/adoptions.htm. There, you can also see pictures and read descriptions of many of our cats, dogs and little furries (hamsters, Guinea Pigs, rabbits). On our website you can also find out our current adoption fees.
