Hi my name is Polly, I'm a 7 yr old 16 lb Maltese rescued from the shelter by the angels. The Angel that picked me up told me 'this is the first day of the rest of my life'. I'm not sure what she meant but by the way she hugged me and smiled I think it's good!!! Update on Polly: Polly is blind and has cushings. She's on medication for her cushings and the doctor says she has had very good results with this new medication, Polly is doing well on her medicine although she still likes to eat a lot, so we have her on the green bean program. She is very sweet and loving and although the doctors say she is blind I know she sees alittle. She sees me and comes right to me whether I call or not. She loves to give kisses and have her belly rubbed. Polly is fully house broken and very good about going to the sliders to go out and do her business.
Polly would do best in a home with someone who is home alot and can give her the attention she needs. She is sweet and not very demanding but because of her blindness needs you to be attentive to her needs.
I am spayed, up to date on all my shots including rabies, , heartworm tested neg, microchipped, dewormed for intestinal parasites, currently on a heartworm and flea preventative. We are a non profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted dogs. We take our pets from kill shelters, owners who can longer care for them, and strays. They are completed vetted and then fostered in our homes until the perfect family can be found for them.
We show our adoptable dogs every Saturday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm at the Petco on the corner of N. Dale Mabry Hwy and Fletcher Ave. in Tampa.
Our Adoption Process...
We have an application that is the first step in our adoption process. This application can be downloaded from our website at www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org. The adoption fee varies depending on the medical expenses incurred. We also require vet references and potentially a home visit before an adoption is finalized.
