Noah's Ark is in need of foster homes. Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding things that you can do for a rescue. When fostering a dog for the Noah's Ark Foundation, we will cover the vet bills, food, and other expenses for our dog, In turn, we ask that you provide your temporary guest with love and a safe place to stay.
Our foundation has many different breeds, sizes, and ages available - both male and female. The pictures that you see are some of our available dogs. All of our dogs are in need of a place to live until they find their forever home. For some, that will be a week or less. For others, it may take a few months. Noah's Ark is a foundation run solely by volunteers and foster homes. The number of animals that we ae able to rescue is directly influenced by the number of fosters that we have. It also helps to take the strain off of some of our fosters that have too many dogs at one time.
If you think that opening up your home to a dog or puppy in need would be right for you, check out our list of available dogs at www.nafva.org . Keep in mind that while most of these dogs could use the one on one attention of a new foster home, some already have a good foster home that is dedicated to keeping them until they are adopted. If you are still interested in fostering one of our special dogs, please come and visit us at our adoption events which are listed on the home page of our website. Thank you, and if you have decided to foster, I can tell you that it will be one of the most rewarding things that you can do.
If you aren't sure if fostering is for you, come to see us at one of our adoption events. We will be able to talk to you about fostering, and you will get to meet some of our great dogs.
Many people are worried about the thought of having to give up a dog that they have fostered. While this is a very understandable concern - most of our fosters have had it - the rewards of saving an animal that would have died at the shelter and finding it a great home far outweigh the sadness of the adoption process. Some fosters are harder than others to let leave, but it is still great to know that they went to a good home that will love them for their life. And if you want, you can always email the adopters for updates!
