Peavey is a spayed, microchipped, 4-year-old dilute calico cat who was abandoned in a dresser drawer by her previous owners. She is, of course, a little leery of humans, but she is overcoming her shyness and just needs a little time to adjust to new surroundings Everyone comments on Peavey’s golden eyes, which “just seem to never end.” Peavey has come to be very affectionate with her foster mom, even to the point of being a lap kitty. She loves to have her head and neck scratched. She prefers a quieter and less active home and can get along with some other cats and dogs. (That usually takes a few days, though.) Peavey’s foster mom says Peavey can be amusingly feisty at times if she doesn’t get what she wants right when she wants it! If she doesn’t have her kitty toys, she plays with the roll of toilet paper and leaves “snow” on the floor! Springfield PetsMart, 2nd and 3rd Sunday of the month, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m; Springfield Petco, 1st and 4th Sunday of the month, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Will also arrange for visits via appointment.
