Romeo came to us on 12/17/2008.
He had been in a shelter for quite a long time. He is approximately 1-3 years old. He weighs between 13-15 lbs. He is already neutered. We had that done 1-21-09.
He has been kept current on Frontline Plus. He tested negative for heartworm on 11/11/08 and has been on monthly heartworm prevention. He has been dewormed several times. His last yearly vaccines were given on 10/09/08. His last rabies was given on 12-20-2008.
Romeo is microchipped with a HomeAgain chip.
Romeo says, 'Hello. My name is Romeo, but my foster mom calls me Rome. It sounds like roam-ee. I like that name and I really like my foster mom. I spent my life in a shelter until foster mom came so I think she is the best thing in the world. She takes me bye-bye's in the car with her all the time. People come to see me and I try to show them what a brave and happy boy I am. They usually go away and don't want me. I guess I'm not brave and happy enough. It's ok, I don't get sad though cause I get to stay here. My foster mom keeps telling me that I am missing out and I need to behave myself! I worry that I'm not missing out. I worry that nobody will be as great as foster mom. I guess when the right one comes along, I'll know.'
Foster mom says, 'Romeo is a wonderful boy! Our kids are 8 and 10 and they walk him. He doesn't always use a leash because he is a great listener. I take him with me anytime he wants to go. He needs someone that will give him as much love as he will give them. He is FULL of kisses and hugs. He is not aware of personal space. He thinks his place--is your face. He just loves his people. A fenced yard would work, or someone that would leash walk him daily. He walks very well on a leash. Romeo needs someone who wants a clown. He can provide hours of entertainment being a fool in the house. He is mostly housetrained. He no longer hikes his leg to mark since we've had him neutered. He does use the potty pad...that isn't meant for him. It's for the Chihuahua's. He goes outside 99% of the time, but he will pee on the potty pad if he needs to go and we don't notice. Housetraining in trade for a loyal friend like this guy is a heck of a deal!'
8/16/09 - - Romeo went with us on a family fishing outing and we got some pictures to update his bio. He waited patiently while we fished, walked with us through the creek and napped all the way home. He would do well with an active family that is willing to take him places too instead of leaving him at home.
