Arrival story: Shilo was taken to a rural shelter when his family had to move and could not take him with them. He had heartworms and his time was running out. Waggin’ Tails stepped up to treat his disease and give him a second chance. He has been successfully treated for his heartworms and is ready to go to his forever home. Approximate age / weight: Shilo is about two years old and weighs 30 lb. Personality: Shilo is a sweet dog who loves to give you kisses and cuddle on the bed at night. He looks at you with the most adorable eyes. How can you not fall in love with such a cute face! He is also very active and loves to wrestle and run around with other dogs at his foster home. He will let you and your neighbors know when a wildlife visits your yard. Forever home: Shilo will do well with a family where someone is home good part of the day. He would love to have a young active canine friend and a big fenced yard to run around (A physical fence is a must for Shilo). Just complete the application and email it back to wtdr2008@yahoo.com Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years +), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group). Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs.
