This story will tear at your heart strings!!!!
Meet Freeway...a wonderful gentle soul who has been lost and living on his own off an Interstate for several years. No one knows how he has managed to survive all this time alone but with determination and the desire to live he has survived!
With the help of a very caring individual who has spent the last several years trying to help Freeway he got his big break! She was able to get help from our local Humane Society who was able to bring Freeway into their shelter where he was safe from the streets and the cold nights and where he could receive regular meals and care.
With all he has been through he is very shy and unsure of his new environment but is extremely gentle and shows absolutely no signs of any kind of aggression. He just needs some time to adjust and learn that living with humans again can be a wonderful experience for him.
It is believed that he is a 6 yr old male Boxer mix that weighs 81 lbs. He was previously neutered and the Humane Society has provided him with all of his medical needs such as vaccines including rabies and bordetella, wormed for any internal parasites and micro chipped. He did test positive for heart worms but has been successfully tested and is now heartworm negative. His adoption will come with one free vet visit.
His eyes are now telling of a sad story but in time he will be confident and proud again.......would you like to be a part of his happy ending! For more information please contact his foster mom at 813-417-2106 or larescue@hotmail.com.

Rescue Group Info...
We are a non profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted dogs. We take our pets from kill shelters, owners who can longer care for them, and strays. They are completed vetted and then fostered in our homes until the perfect family can be found for them.
We show our adoptable dogs every Saturday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at:
Petco
13127 North Dale Mabry Highway
Tampa, FL 33618
(located at the corner of N. Dale Mabry Hwy and Fletcher Ave.)
Not every foster family has the ability to show their dogs every weekend. Please contact the foster family at the email or phone number listed in the dog's biography to find out if they will be participating at the Petco on Saturday.
Filling out an application is an important first step in our adoption process. These can be downloaded from our website: www.lostangelsanimalrescue.org.
Meeting the dog you are interested in, asking questions and talking with the foster parent(s) about their foster pup is the next step. (can be combined with step 1 if you meet the dog at one of our many adoption events)
The foster parent will do a thorough check of your completed application (especially vet references) and possibly do a home visit with their foster dog before making a decision on their placement. (This is not 'first come, first served'. We only complete adoptions to homes that offer what is best & needed for our foster dogs; ie. a fenced yard, someone home longer hours with the dog, etc )
Lost Angels is based in Tampa, Florida with our foster homes spanning several of the surrounding counties. We are not a brick and mortar shelter, so we meet at the Petco in Carrollwood, as well as other venues to showcase our fabulous, foster dogs. (contact dog's foster parent for details of where to meet on a particular weekend)
