Sebastian's story...
Personality

I am a silly, loving, cuddly pup. I was found on the side of the road and my younger days were rough. There is little doubt that I was not treated nicely as a young pup, but my Foster mom and brothers have been teaching me about humans and all the GREAT things that come with living in a loving home. It may take me a while to warm up to you... but when I finally do, I'll be your shadow. ** It took me a very long time to learn my name and although it can be changed, I'm rather fond of Sebastian and respond well to it :)

What are the dog's favorite toys or things to do?

My favorite toys are my foster brothers, I have 3!! They are all BIG dogs (65lbs +) but that doesn't stop me from trying to take them all out with my BIG attitude. I can chase and wrestle with the biggest of them, all day long! When my humans are home, I prefer to cuddle on the couch and keep them company. Of course, I NEVER turn down a car ride... I love sticking my head out the window! ARF :)

Dog's forever home:

My most perfect forever home would have at least 1 other dog or playmate (2 leggeds are ok) to keep me company and well exercized. Along with a big yard, I'd like walks and dog parks and outings to keep me happy and well socialized. I've seen my foster brother run agility and I'd REALLY like it if my forever family would teach me how to do all those fun 'tricks'.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Socialization

Does the dog like cats? Live with cats?

Has met cats, likes to 'chase' but hasn't been intent on harming any. Would need a proper introduction and reward for good behavior. Live with cats? NO- only met on various occassions

Does the dog like other dogs?
VERY MUCH... lives w/ 3 dogs, regular visits to dog park and LOTS of short visits w/ dogs in other homes.

Does the dog like kids?

All the kids he has met, he's been well behaved around. Would do best with kids over 5 and proper introductions, rewards for behavior, etc.

Should the dog be placed with other pets and/or kids?

Would be great to have another 4 legged companion and would do well with older kids.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Training and Behavior

Housebroken?

Most of the time. Does best when a routine is established and maintained. Very good in the house for up to 8 hours. Would need adjustment time at new home. Is dog door trained. Would do well with "bell" system too.

Crate trained?

Yes. Can be kenneled during the day and at night. Again, routine is key for him.

Has the dog had any training?

Has attended foster dog training. Lots of behavior specific training w/ Foster home. Will need continued training and SOCIALIZATION to work on specific behaviors.

Does the dog escape the yard? Dig? Bark excessively? Anything else?
No

Does the dog ride well in the car?
LOVES THE CAR!! Has spent many, many hours in the car with no issues.

Is the dog food aggressive?
No signs of any issues.

Fearful of anything?
Will need continued training and SOCIALIZATION to work on specific behaviors.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Health

No health issues that we are aware of. Does best on a RAW diet in order to maintain weight.
