**Special Needs**
Hank is approximately 16 months of age. He was originally rescued from the Harbor Shelter (Long Beach), then placed into a family. The family shortly thereafter faced an extreme economic crisis, and Hank was returned.
Hank is special needs because of his timidity. He is timid, but once introduced properly is fine. Hank just needs more socialization and training! He loves his brother Bootsie and immulates him.
This dog has so much potential.
This is a nice dog that now weighs about 55 lbs., does well with other dogs when properly introduced is fun, LOVES to run and do laps around the yard with the chase doggies and needs continued training. He is healthy, fully vetted, comes with all medical records, and is microchipped. He is crate trained, housebroken, loves to play and romp and needs continued training and socialization of all kinds (animals and people) to make him the best dog possible.
We believe Hank is a dobie/hound/German shepherd mix, but this is, as always, our very best guess! He has a lovely short coat and is easy to maintain.
In the two-photo picture, Hank is with Malena, a neighbors dog that we were caring for. Immediate best friends!

Rescue Group Info...
Please note that as we are in a burn area from the recent fires, we are frequently evacuated during rains. Please bare with us during these times. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
We are a small private rescue organization. Most of our rescue animals, cats and dogs, are from local shelters though occasionally we will take owner turn-in animals as we have space.
All of our rescue animals are fully vetted: spayed/neutered, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped. All veterinary records are passed onto the new companion family.
Please contact us directly for information regarding any of our rescue animals. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Our rescue animals are shown by appointment only.
Our adoption fees vary with each animal but dogs are generally $200.00-$250.00, and cats are $100-$125. We require an application, telephone interview, home visit, contract and after visit if necessary. All of these things are to ensure that our rescues are placed properly in a safe environment.
