UPDATE: Iris has lost 20 pounds since entering foster care and she's doing great! She no longer requires Meloxicam on a daily basis since she isn't carrying around so much extra weight. Her energy level has increased and she can get busy with her new found desire to steal cloths from the hamper and counter surf! Iris is a very sweet girl who deserves a home of her own.

Iris is a very gentle and loving girl. She adores people and children but due to her size, can easily knock small children over. She's great with other dogs, big dogs and little dogs. She's also great with cats and had raised a small kitten. She's a very social girl who needs regular walks and is now on a healthy diet (a quality food for "less active" dogs). She's overweight and should weigh 90 to 95 lbs. Her energy level will surely pick up as pounds drop off, and she will want to walk further. Iris is very good on a leash and is so friendly that she loves to meet every dog and person that she comes across on her walks. Iris is on a generic form of Metacam called Meloxicam to help her joints feel comfortable and the cost is approximately $15 per month.  Iris had been rescued by her previous owner and we're guessing that she's between 7 to 8 years young. Iris still has many years of love to offer a family to call her own and as the extra pounds are coming off, she is living life much more happily and comfortably.

All of our dogs are fully vetted.  They have been vaccinated, altered, microchipped and heartworm tested and on prevention.
