Meow! My name is Oliver Stone - Fantastic Little Fella!

Meet Oliver Stone.
Those who know him will call him Ollie. How can you not love an orange and white fella?

If you'd like to meet Oliver Stone, we really need you to fill out an application FIRST. You can easily fill one out online at www.mollysmuttsandmeows.org. Click here to go to application page. Once you fill it out, hit submit. Be as complete as you can and don't be shy! We like to know a lot about the homes for our critters. After we receive it, we'll respond within 24 hours. (We're all volunteers and work full-time, so be patient with us. We will respond, I promise!)

This cat has been rescued by a good Samaritan with a big heart. He's looking for a forever home and is available for adoption. Molly's Mutts and Meows has offered a courtesy posting to help this cat in need. This rescuer has also been invited to show the available animal with us at our Saturday adoptions in West Hollywood.

If it weren't for the LOVE of an elderly couple who took the time to stop and notice, Ollie would still be sleeping in a parking lot. Despite being abandoned and basically thrown away like garbage, Ollie still loves the companionship of people. He still wants attention, still purrs up a storm and doesn't want to participate in life without you! He will sleep peacefully at your desk while you work and when you get up, he will follow you around the house all day if you let him. In other words, he's a very LOYAL guy, just waiting to become a mommy or daddy's boy. He especially likes to nestle right up next to you while watching TV! And if you don't give him the attention he desires, he taps you with his paw as you walk by and jumps out at you from under any cover he can find!. He definitely likes ATTENTION and wants to be the alpha male, calling all the shots.
 
It must have been rough out there for Ollie, fighting with other cats for food and territory because somewhere along the line, he contracted FIV. Despite this, Ollie is a healthy big boy weighing in at a whopping 16 pounds and is solid muscle. For any of you who are not familiar with this virus, we have enclosed a link. FYI: This virus cannot be transmitted to humans or any other species but feline, and it doesn't get transmitted easily. It can only be transmitted through saliva in a serious cat fight by a deep puncture wound, which seldom happens with neutered kitties.

Most FIV+ cats simply live the same life as any other cat, often into ripe old age. The most important way to achieve this is to feed Ollie high quality food, keep him indoors ONLY and make sure he lives a stress-free lifestyle. This article may help you understand FIV more readily.

Ollie has been, fixed, vaccinated, (3 in 1 & rabies) de-wormed, given Revolution and had his nails trimmed. Please consider giving this HAPPY, HANDSOME and LOVABLE boy the comfort of your arms and the shelter of your home. He will bring ONLY JOY and HAPPINESS to your LIFE as he has to his foster mom.  She would love to see him go to a home that has lots of room for Ollie to run around and play.  And if you have a cat that is 2 or 3 years old and likes to play too, that would be awesome for Ollie. One final note about Ollie, he does not show very well at animal adoption days.  Some cats show better than others (which is very understandable).  So if you want to meet Oliver Stone, be sure to fill out the application completely and his foster mom can arrange a meeting with Ollie so you can see his true PURR-sonality.
 
CAN YOU GIVE HIM THE SECOND CHANCE HE DESERVES? I HOPE SO!!

Side note: The founder of Molly's Mutts & Meows has 5 cats. Two of them are FIV+.  They have all lived together, peacefully and in good health, for more than 8 years.  FIV + is not that big a deal as long as the cats do not fight.
